Student occupational assessment and report (SOAR®)

Student occupational assessment and report (SOAR®)

It’s a challenge. Students today are faced with rapidly increasing options and tracks for careers. It can be confusing and overwhelming and hard to even know where to begin. There are so many questions.

How do you know what you will want to be doing when you are 30?

What interests can you turn into a real career?

What jobs are good choices in this rapidly changing techno world?

How do you choose a major?

What if you just don’t know what you want to do?

Feeling overwhelmed?

  • It’s perfectly normal to feel stressed or confused about which major to choose or what career path to follow.

  • It’s okay to change your mind - even several times. It is estimated that 70% of college or university students change their major at least once.

Before spending thousands of dollars on university tuition, room and board and other fees, take some time to figure out what it is you want to do. It’s worth spending a few dollars now to get yourself headed in the right direction.

Career assessment is the first and the most important step in choosing an occupation or major, planning your career, or even starting a job search. The process of identifying and articulating your interests, skills, achievements, and values is helpful in finding a major or a career that you will enjoy and that will offer a solid path for your future.

It’s time to SOAR™ and discover your best career options.

SOAR™ is a comprehensive career assessment for students in Grade 11 and 12 and for college and university students. It’s one of the most comprehensive assessments you can find anywhere.

SOAR™ is also available for adult career changers. Contact Anita here for info about SOAR™ for adults.

SOAR® is designed to help you identify interests that can help choose a major and career path. It is an excellent career resource for high school or college/university students and even for young adults who are struggling to find their path in the career world.

SOAR® helps you look at the things you enjoy doing and subjects you enjoy to help you find your way through the crazy making career decision maze. We look at what you’re good at and where you would like to develop real skills. We talk about your preferred work environment and personality factors that influence your career choices.

Our personality assessment is an in-depth look at how you process information, make decisions and interact with the world around you. Our values questionnaire helps you clarify your personal values and make the deep connection to the kind of work you really want to do. Our interest inventory offers a broad ranging look at career interests and options to consider.

It’s a great place to start.
